Enduring romance is something Jeaniene Frost does better than almost any author I can think of.

There Bones, the guy, clubs Cat, the girl, over the head and drags her to his cave where he chains her up, beats her up, and keeps her there until she learns to like him.

If you’re new to the series, go right for the first audiobook, Halfway to the Grave. I can sum up the entire Night Huntress in this sentence: This is a love story. Along came the Red Reaper, who tipped that balance on little Cat feet. ~Happy Listening!~Ī delicate balance stood centuries between vampires and ghouls. But I guarantee I will listen to this audiobook over and over again until then. ~~ I have started my count down for the next C&B this fall. I do think she went a bit overboard in some of the scenes. She overpowered some chapters that were written so beautifully that merely reading the words would have produced a heart stopping reaction. The ups and downs in their relationship that blasted passion and lust through out the pages aren't present in this one.~~ Tavia still rocked the narration. I am sure this is because they are solid in their relationship. ~~ I have been spoiled with the intense heat, lust and passion between Cat and Bones over the last few books and I felt like it was lessened in this one.

I still favor Chapter 32 in One Foot in The Grave, but this one probably comes in second. The passion between Cat and Bones is still present and the love scene took my breath away. ~~ I laughed out loud and shed many tears through out the book. Cat and Bones are well into their relationship so this book really delves into family/friend relationships, acceptance, and unconditional love. For all the Cat and Bones fans this book will not disappoint.
