One thing about Skin After Skin that I really appreciated was that we get to witness Crash’s journey from disdainful skeptic to confidant and guide.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Crash’s appearance in several “extras” posted by the author, which gave additional insight into Crash’s point of view. Though Crash’s presence in the previous stories is limited, his effect on the other characters is undeniable, and his reactions were so unexpected sometimes that I had no trouble believing there was much more to him than was immediately apparent. I like Criss Cross a lot anyway, as poor Vic is suffering even more than usual and I'm a sadist.I listened over a few days, but at just over 4 hours long it's ideal for an evening or a lazy Sunday morning listen.Being a fan of the Ps圜op series, and the audiobooks, in particular, I was extremely happy to receive this copy of Skin After Skin in a giveaway from the author. I'll definitely listen to this one many times. The narrator has made a bit of a change to the way he does Jacob's voice that I prefer. Review 2: The second audiobook of the series, and I liked it even more than the first. more ybe two stars" to one star and a "won't read the rest of the stories".Sorry, I wanted to like it. But there were more.But to be honest the mystery side of the story kind of kept me going because I found it interesting although it was fairly easy to figure who was behind it but when it came to the "why" it didn't satisfy me at all.
I only remembered this scene specifically because it came so early and ticked me off. He could've donned something other than converse shoes if somebody had only told him. he's never been fishing before so how could he possibly know it involves wet water. or didn't I get the jokes? I mean, right at the beginning he was lamenting about getting wet and cold feet while going fishing with his ex-work-partner, in October I think it was. Review 1: nope, didn't work for me either.
